Wolfe’s Neck Center for Agriculture & the Environment invites photographers to enter our 2022-23 Annual Photo Contest. You must read and agree to the following rules, terms, and conditions before submitting any photos.
Eligibility:
The photo contest is open to all photographers at least 18 years of age, except employees of WNC. The contest is open to all participants regardless of residence or citizenship, as the laws of their jurisdiction allow participation. If you are under 18 years of age and would like to submit a photograph, you will have to ask a parent or guardian to do so on your behalf. All photographs must have been taken on the farm property. When submitting please try to upload the highest-quality photo that you can. Ideally, all submitted photos should have a minimum file size of 1 megabyte. Photos must be free from professional watermarks.
Rights:
An entrant must hold all rights to a photograph they submit to the contest. We encourage photos featuring members of your family. However, for a photo in which a person is recognizable, you must complete a model release from the subject or, in the case of a minor, the subject’s parent or guardian. An image that contains recognizable people will not be selected for an award if the photographer is unable to provide a valid model release.
Individuals submitting photos into the contest retain full rights to their photos, including ownership, but through the act of participation will also grant to WNC a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute, and display the submitted photos which might include, by example, methods listed below:
The right to publish the image in any format, including on the web and in print publications or presentations including but not limited to: newsletters, brochures, fundraising appeals, public service announcements, grant proposals, reports, awards, thank-you cards, displays, calendars, books, prints for sale, mailings and invitations.
The right to provide images to other individuals and organizations for the purposes of promoting WNC for use in news stories, newsletters, reports, slide shows, displays, books, magazines, web pages, wayside exhibits, and the like.
Deadline:
Submissions for the Photo Contest will be accepted between January 10, 2023, and 5:00 pm on February 10, 2023. The period for voting will continue for two weeks. Winners will be announced by February 28, 2023.
