This year, we had to process some of our turkeys a week early, due to the shortage of poultry processing facilities in Maine.
Since they are ready a little too early for Thanksgiving, we've put them in the freezer and will transfer them to a refrigerator to thaw on Monday morning. When you pick up on Monday or Tuesday, the turkey will still be partially frozen and will need to be put in your refrigerator to finish thawing in time for Thanksgiving. It cannot be refrozen until it has been cooked.
Though our "never-frozen" turkeys are now sold out, we do have some of the "briefly frozen" turkeys available for pickup at the farm on Monday, November 23rd from 9am-6pm.
If you are planning to be traveling and wish to pick up your turkey early, please contact us directly at (207) 865-4469 ext 106. Thank you!
